Il maestro siciliano Sandro Bracchitta vince il prestigioso premio internazionale d’incisione in Cina con l’opera Red Bowl

*IL MAESTRO SICILIANO SANDRO BRACCHITTA VINCE IL PRESTIGIOSO PREMIO INTERNAZIONALE D’INCISIONE ALLA “GUANLAN INTERNATIONAL PRINT BIENNIAL 2019” IN CINA. L’OPERA “RED BOWL” CONQUISTA LA GIURIA E VINCE L’”HONORARY WORK”.* Il maestro incisore Sandro Bracchitta si trova in Cina per ricevere il premio “Honorary Work” della prestigiosa “Guanlan International Print Biennial 2019“. La comunicazione ufficiale è arrivata direttamente da Zhao Jiachun, direttore della Biennale che ha invitato l’artista ragusano a ritirare personalmente il riconoscimento, durante la cerimonia inaugurale della biennale che si è tenuta il 14 maggio. “Red Bowl” del maestro siciliano Bracchitta è stata scelta tra le quasi 4600 opere grafiche partecipanti al concorso, pervenute da 105 paesi e collocandosi al primo posto a pari merito con altri 11 vincitori.

Palpabile la soddisfazione di Bracchitta che dalla Cina, dove ha ritirato il premio, dichiara: “Sono orgoglioso di ritirare questo importante riconoscimento che va ad arricchire il mio speciale rapporto con la Cina che spesso ha accolto le mie opere e la mia arte”. L’opera “Red Bowl” esprime alcune delle peculiarità dell’arte di Bracchitta, noto per la sua intensa capacità espressiva attraverso una simbologia nitida. I suoi soggetti presentano un valore intrinseco, metaforico, ma anche intimo. L’arte incisoria di Bracchitta si svela attraverso elementi precisi che raccontano di memorie che si inseguono. Proprio in Cina, nel 2016, il maestro ragusano ha partecipato al Guanlan International Residency Base Program, ospite della residenza per artisti Guanlan Original Printmaking Base nella città di Shenzhen nella Repubblica Popolare Cinese. Un soggiorno importante, formativo e accrescitivo durante il quale il museo della grafica di Guanlan ha acquisito alcune opere dell’artista.

Master engraver Sandro Bracchitta is currently in China to receive the “Honorary Work” Award at the renowned “Gunlan International Print Biennial 2019”. He has been officially invited by Mr.Zhao Jiachun, director of the Biennial, to claim the prize in person, during the opening ceremony of the exhibition on May 14. The artwork “Red Bowl” of the Sicilian maestro Bracchitta has been selected over 4,600 other works of art coming from 105 countries and has won the first prize with 11 joint winners. Maestro Bracchitta who is clearly very honoured, has said in China: “I am very proud to receive this prestigious award, which further enriches my special relationship with China, a country that has often acknowledged my art and my work.”. In the artwork “Red Bowl” are expressed some of features of Bracchitta’s art, renowned for his vivid talent expressed through a clear symbolism. His themes reflect a sense of something innate, metaphoric and at the same time intimate. Bracchitta’s art is revealed by specific elements that relate to memories which chase each other. The Sicilian artist was also in China in 2016 when he was part of the Guanlan International Residency Base Program, as a host of the artists’ residence Guanlan Original Printmaking Base, in the city of Shenzhen. A very important, formative and enriching visit during which the graphic museum at Guanlan acquired some artworks of the artist.
